This weekend seemed to just fly on by! The Hubby went fishing… but unfortunately didn’t get to bring home any fish! Friday~ We played outside on her playscape then Alex & I hung out just us with Elmo in Grouchland! It is so funny watching her get mesmerized by Elmo! Then we snuggled up in bed. I love it when she gets all snuggly with me!

Saturday we ended up meeting Grandma & Meemaw for lunch! Alex sat in a booster seat for the first time… she was so cute being a little ham as usual. Meemaw and Alex were making faces at each other and laughing!! I loved it. We had a great lunch and hope to do it again soon!!

We only had one little accident when we were leaving… Alex tripped and fell. She was wearing her sunglasses and the hinge hit right by her eye!! Thank goodness she is okay though!! We have one tough little cookie!! Saturday night I treated my little crazy monkey and myself to Wendy’s!! Alex loves french fries(what kiddo doesn’t) and Wendy’s is my favorite fast food place!! I had some Ranch dipping sauce and Alex wanted to try it ~ She loved it, we have a little ranch girl on our hands!!
We ended the night all snuggles up in bed again… LOVE IT!! So we sent Daddy a nite nite pic letting him know that we loved him and missed him.

While we were snuggled up checking out what was on TV, I came across a Twilight Saga marathon… YEP I’m one of those Twilight Moms!! I watched Twilight, New Moon, and Eclipse until 2:30 am!! It made me want to re-read the books AGAIN!!  I have read them twice… which I have never wanted to re-read books before!! I must admit that when I bought Twilight I felt silly I knew it was for Teens but thought what the heck I want to know what all the hype is about!! Well I read all 4 books within a week while taking care of my father. I hope that Stephenie Meyer continues to write books, I think that she has a unique way of getting you so involved with the characters. I also read The Host which is written differently and I had a hard time getting into thebeginning but was really good once I got past the first couple of chapters! I have bought them all numerous times to give as gifts!! I can’t wait for Breaking Dawn and The Host to be in theaters!!

Sunday we lounged in our PJ’s most of the day then watched Elmo again… I tried the Muppets (my fave) but Alex is in love with Elmo!! She is just too cute while watching that I can’t resist!! Eventually we will have to broaden her taste in movies or mommy might have an Elmo in Grouchland grouchy moment : )
Waving hello to Elmo : )
Once Daddy got home from his fishing trip we went out to eat… Chicken Fried Steak was calling his name!! Then came our ritual snuggle time!! I enjoyed my girls only weekend (but missed the Hubby too)!!! We hope y’all had a great weekend too!!

I love Wendy’s too and no one in my family likes it…Scott does but the kids don’t. Yum! Now I’m hungry.

Did you know that Stephanie Meyer has a new book coming out about Twilight?…a guide book of sorts with all the characters backgrounds. I can’t wait! 🙂 Have you read the Hunger Games series? I am loving them! Read books 1 and 2 already and am on 3! I can’t wait to read Twilight again too.

She is the cuteness! I love her little expressions!

Sounds like y’all had a great weekend! I still haven’t watched the most recent Twilight movie, they just don’t compare to the books in my opinion. I think they need to try and start from the beginning on the movies again because it could be way better. Are you a Harry Potter fan too?!

Sorry to hear about all the fires. I know how scary it can be. We live at the edge of the Withlacoochee State Forest and when we were building our house a fire came about 1500 feet from our yard. We thought we were going to lose our house before we even got it finished.

This all saddens me… Some places are flooding, while others are on fire… I really wish there was a way that they could help each other out.. you know, like send the water to the fire? I dunno… BE SAFE

It's so terrible! All those homes lost. Hubby is a firefighter here in Colorado so we've been watching it close. We've had our own fires here in Colorado.

Where we live has been having fires too…well in the mountains, and people have had to evacuate. It's about an hour-hour and a half away from us-so I guess we aren't in danger, but the smoke has been horrible! I hope you guys don't have to evacuate!

Even though I live in RI, because of the internet, I have, in a way, been touched by these fires. A blogging buddy I met through book blogging has lost her home and all her possessions. We became friends due to multiple things in common and a friendship grew. She called me yesterday and we cried together but I felt relieved to hear her voice and attitude. Stay safe Melissa.

No it's a tragedy of Biblical proportions. I'm praying for your state and the people. Mother Nature has ravaged you this year.http://cuzinlogic.com

Don't forget about the fire in Spicewood. We were surrounded at our house and could see the Steiner Ranch fires from our driveway. It's so scary – we NEED rain.

So very scary…especially if you are close to them. I heard it's been super dry down there. Hopefully you can get some rain soon.
