Synopsis:

Denial, Anger, Bargaining, Depression,
Acceptance…

When facing death, a mourning period is to be expected. But
what if it’s not a person but a relationship that dies? Grace and her boyfriend
Jon have been together for three years. They live together and have shared many
beautiful memories. Those memories are what keeps Grace from admitting Jon has
changed and is no longer the man she fell in love with.

Afraid of being
alone and holding on to something that no longer exists, Grace is a shadow of
her former self. Her daily objective is to hide her pain from the world. Then,
an unexpected letter sets off a whirlwind of potential life changes. In life,
sometimes the hardest thing to do is let go.

Review:

What a smart well written book. I want to start with the cover it is a beautiful cover and really captures the book. The book is about Grace and her growing through a low point in her life. A couple of years before this book takes place Grace is at a high point in her life. She had 2 loving parents who support her and a boyfriend who is beyond loving. It is amazing how much her life can change in less than 2 years. Her parents are killed in a car accident and then her boyfriend loses his job and becomes the worlds biggest dick. That is the best term I can give him. She is living a horrible life. The book takes you through some of the stages of her grief and I though it was a new and great way to read through the book. While in the anger stage she gets a call from her grandma who she never knew she had. Kate her grandmother wants her to visit. So she heads down to Florida for a week. In this week Grace makes huge steps to healing and becoming a person she knew she could be. She meets her grandmother and learns stories and realizes she has family who loves her. She also meets Ryan while visiting her grandmother. Ryan is a light to help her though this time. I love the relationship the 2 of them build. There journey is so cute. They love, laugh and cry. There are so many great parts about this relationship. There are not really any steamy scenes so if that is what you want then this is not for you. What there is a true journey of a character and her learning to love and trust again. A truly wonderful read. I say you have to get this. Even if you want steamy sex step away and read this.
