What would happen if you lost everything?  If the people who were supposed to love you unconditionally were no longer there for you, how would your world change?
Madeleine Becker lost everything when her parents died when she was ten years old.  Ripped from her home and everything that she has ever loved, she is forced to start all over again.  The only way for her to move on is to build walls around her heart and keep everyone at a safe distance. Her logic: she can’t get hurt if she doesn’t fall in love.
That theory is blown to pieces when she meets Reid Connely during her freshman year at college. He is gorgeous and darkly mysterious. He understands Maddy’s pain all too well, but sharing his pain would mean breaking down the walls he put up around his own heart. Conflicted between loving Maddy and hiding his dark past, Reid starts to reevaluate his world.  Maddy’s inner strength, snarky personality and breath taking beauty help Reid to make peace with his past.
Together they find out what happens when they let love in.

AWESOME!!! This book is AMAZING. I LOVED IT. If you could not tell with my first few words. What a fabulous debut from Melissa. This book was a little bit of everything. It made be happy, sad, mad and nervous about what will happen next.  I loved both main characters as well as all of the supporting characters. There was much substance on each one of them. Maddy has so much emotional pain since she has no living relatives. Her parents were killed in a wreck and then she was uprooted from the only home she knew at 10 to live with an aunt who dies her senior year in high school. She has fear that she will never have a family. Reid has a family he never speaks to because of a dark secret. Together they are an awesome force. Reid has an immediate instant connection and Maddy feels the same. They both can see and feel the other has emotional baggage. They work so hard throughout the book to build their relationship to something strong. Reid is so awesome to Maddy trying to give her the family she wants and needs. There will be a book 2 so it does end with a cliffhanger, but oh please do not let this stop you. Melissa’s debut novel is definitely a hit. She will be BIG after this, at least I am really hoping because she deserves it after this phenomenal book. This story leaves you with so many emotions the whole time. With each chapter you fall more and more in love with this book and characters. If you don’t read this you are CRAZY.

Let Love In releases on May 10. I will have links.

I did get to speak to Melissa and she is a busy gal. She is writing the conclusion for Maddy and Reid, Let Love Stay, and hopes that it will be out over the summer.   She is also working on a stand-alone contemporary romance From The Wreckage. After that she is hoping to do a follow-up book for Melanie in The Love Series. You will meet the awesome BFF in Let Love In.
