On Saturday we went to watch little Miss Mak’s last soccer game (which she did great in- WooHoo) and as we were leaving Mrs. D told us about the local farmers market that had moved even closer to us… YAY!! So we decided to go check it out. They had a little bit of everything there. It was great to walk thru and see what everyone had to offer. One aspect I love is that the market was pet friendly, several people had their dogs out with them. There was even a doggy booth with all natural pup stuff. We got Alex a really cute scarf that the girl scouts handmade. Alex loved it all day long she kept putting it on herself and would actually keep it on (which could not be said for her hat)!  We bought fresh bread, salsa, mushrooms, tomatoes, and even a nice bottle of wine! We really want to give Alex the best fresh organic foods possible. I think that this will be a weekly Saturday trip.

I love the Farmer’s Market, particularly the one downtown. We should plan to meet there one morning for a playdate! 🙂 (BTW I’m the same as from Confessions of a Former Nanny – I just spend a lot more time on my “baby blog”)

I’ve never been to a farmer’s market! But it sounds like a great place to visit.

A pet-friendly farmer’s market?! That’s AWESOME!!! I have to leave my poor dogs home every Saturday.

Tomorrow is my last super-local market for the season. I will miss it so, but this post will set me up with sweet dreams of the fresh and organic treats that await my arrival!

I'd like the dog. I was going to enter it for our yet-unborn son, but my 15 year old daughter is apparently quite jealous. LOL I guess I'll it for her and we can buy one for the baby when he's old enough to enjoy it 🙂
