With Mother’s Day coming up I have been thinking about my own mother and what I have learned growing up. One thing that my mother has taught me since I was a child is that “everything happens for a reason”  and I have tried to really live by that mantra! I have been through trials and tribulations and kept that saying in the forefront of my mind at all times to help me stay in a positive mind frame! This has helped me all through my childhood and especially as a “grown up”. Before we had Alexandra we miscarried and that really tested my belief in everything happens for a reason! I tried to stay positive and focused but still questioned my mother’s teachings on “everything happens for a reason”. Once I was pregnant with Alexandra then I could fully understand and appreciate that everything really does happen for a reason! I use that advice in my parenting… meaning I try not to get too worked up over things (yes I have my no patience days- I’m human) and try to just go with the flow. I give Alexandra have the room to explore, make messes, and even fall down so that she can learn to get back up! I want Alexandra to learn that everything happens for a reason so that she can focus on living and loving life – all the while staying positive!! I hope that she can look back when she is a mom(like in 30 years) and pick some advice that I gave her to pass on to her own child(ren).

I’m another believer in everything happening for a reason. Things that are hard or that we may not understand at the time are usually put in perspective as time goes by.

I’m a total believer in everything happens for a reason. While you may not be able to understand why initially, the answer always comes.
