THE INTERVIEW:
Can you tell the readers a little about yourself?
My name is Jennifer Malone Wright and I am the author of The Vampire Hunter’s Daughter and The Birth of Jaiden series. I am the mother of five kids and a husband who has been in the military for 12 years. I love to read, write and play with photography.
Do you write full time?
I wish. I should, but I can only write part time because my kids and being a housewife are my full time job.
What are 5 fun/interesting facts about you?
- I can play the harmonica, I don’t like to hug or be touched a lot, I don’t like to cook but I like to bake, I have an intense love with Red Bull, and I like all kinds of music.
- What are the “must haves” for you when you sit down to write a book?
- I must have my coffee and at least the general area around me clean. I have learned to write just whenever I can because of all my kiddos and the commotion around me.
- What made you decide to become a writer and how old were you?
- I was young, I don’t remember what age, but I do know that I knew very young that I wanted to be a writer when I grew up.
Who or what was your inspiration for writing The Vampire’s Daughter?
The Vampire Hunter’s Daughter started as a back ground story for character from another story I was working on at the time. I loved the back ground story so much that I decided that it needed to be a bigger story.
Do you feel that you can relate to one character in “this book” more than any other? And why?
Yes, I relate to Chloe a lot. I write from the first person and I think that a lot of Chloe’s personality and actions come from myself and my own experiences.
What do you Love most about writing?
I love being able to transport into another world and live there for a while. Writing fiction is wonderful, because if I feel like a love story, I just write it. If I want to kill somebody, I just go kill off a character. I can do whatever I want.
What is your biggest challenge when you write?
My biggest challenge is actually being able to sit down and write. Finding time is not easy in this house hold.
Do you have any advice for any other aspiring writers out there?
Whenever I get this question I always answer with this. Make sure to research, never stop learning the craft, and never let anyone tell you you can’t do what you’re doing.
What do you do when you are not writing?
When I’m not writing I do things with my kids, my husband, or read and watch my shows on tv.
When you’re not writing what kind of books do you like to read?
I love the paranormal! I’m always reading YA paranormal books, but I also have a great love for Nora Roberts and romance.
Since becoming published, what has been your favorite part of the process?
My favorite part has been discovering and interacting with all the awesome readers out there, and also all the wonderful authors I have met along the way.
If you can, tell us what is up next for you?
I am currently re editing The Birth of Jaiden, I am finishing up the first part in The Arcadia Falls Chronicles (the continuation of The Vampire Hunter’s Daughter) and also working on a paranormal book with a military wife as a lead character.

Jennifer Malone Wright resides in the beautiful mountains of northern Idaho with her husband and five children. Between the craziness of taking care of her children, whose ages range from fourteen all the way down to six months, and being a homemaker, Jennifer has little time left for herself. The time she does have left, usually leading far into the night, is spent working on freelance work or her beloved fiction.
When she grew up, Jennifer always had her nose in a book. She has been writing stories and poems since grade school. This love of the written word and her strong interest in the paranormal is what has led to her first novel “The Birth of Jaiden.”
In addition to being a mother and homemaker, Jennifer is also a very proud military wife. Moving around the country for the last ten years has made her a bit of a nomad and she finds it difficult to be in one place for too long.
Jennifer is also the author of The Birth of Jaiden, a paranormal novel filled with action, suspense, and even a love story.
