Hey Babes!

Our favorite bartending babe, Katana Collins, is at it again, this time sharing a deliciously ironic (you’ll have to read the story to know why) Chocolate Cake Martini inspired by Stacey Lynn’s All the Ugly Things check it out!

Chocolate Cake Martini

Hey there, Babes!

It’s sweet. It’s creamy. It’s a decadent way to splurge yourself after dinner… and I’m not just talking about Lilly and Hudson from Stacey Lynn’s newest book, All the Ugly Things! You’re going to want to crack into this book with this chocolate cake martini in hand—trust me!

I have made a lot of boozy, sweet dessert martinis… and this recipe is HANDS DOWN the best!

Ingredients:

~ 2 tbsp. of chocolate syrup (plus extra for drizzling)

~ 4 oz. Baileys

~ 2 oz. dark chocolate liqueur  (Godiva makes a great one!)

~ 2 oz. white white chocolate liqueur (Godiva makes this too!)

~ 4 oz. vodka (flavored or unflavored, your choice! Though my personal favorite flavored vodkas for this cocktail are Smirnoff’s Kissed Caramel, or Whipped Cream flavor)

~ Ice

~ shaved chocolate (if you’re feeling fancy)

Directions:

  1. Drizzle the inside of your martini glass with the chocolate syrup. Then pour some syrup onto a plate and dip the glass rim into it to coat the edge.
  2. Fill your cocktail shaker with ice, then pour Baileys, chocolate liqueur, and vodka over top.
  3. Give it a good shake for 20-39 seconds and distribute between martini glasses.
  4. Top with shaved chocolate (it’s not hard to do, is a crowd pleaser, and really gives each sip and extra something!

If you make this one, pleeeeeease let us know how much you love it! And be sure to check out All the Ugly Things asap!

Cheers & Enjoy,

Katana

All the Ugly Things

One night changed everything.

In a single breath my entire future was ripped away.

Now I’m left simply trying to pick up the pieces.

Endless nights waiting tables in hopes of keeping a single piece of the dream I left behind.

He came for pie with dark eyes and a cocky smile.

But those eyes saw more than they should.

Past my walls to all those secrets I’d long buried.

That should’ve been my first warning.

I should’ve said no when he offered me a job too good to be true.

But I said yes.

Slowly friendship sparked to something more.

Stolen moments became an obsession neither of us could kick.

Hudson gave me more than I’d ever dreamed.

So much of what I had lost.

A home. A family.

I should’ve known it was all a beautiful lie.

I should’ve known he’d only leave me with all the ugly things…

About Stacey...

Stacey Lynn likes her coffee with a dash of sugar, her heroes with a side of bossy, and her wine a deep shade of red.

The author of over thirty romance novels, many of which have been best-selling titles on Amazon, AppleBooks, and Barnes & Noble, she loves being able to turn her vivid imagination into a career that brings entertainment and joy to her readers. Focused on sports romance and emotional, small-town romance, she also loves stretching herself in different genres.

Born in Texas and raised in the Midwest, she now makes her home in North Carolina and loves all things Southern. Together with her ultimate tall, dark, and handsome hero, she has four children. Her life is a chaotic mess that fights with her Type-A, list-making, neurotically organized preferences and she wouldn’t have it any other way.

Katana Collins Contributor

Katana Collins is a bestselling author of over twenty novels, novellas, and comic books in a variety of genres. She is most known for her sensual contemporary romances and her wildly popular comic book— Batman White Knight Presents: Harley Quinn with DC Comics.

An avid animal lover, she lives in Portland, Maine with her kind of mean cat, derpy lab-pitt mix, mellow chihuahua, and very not mellow cairn terrier puppy. Oh, yeah… there’s a husband somewhere in that mix, too. She can usually be found in a coffee shop with her nose buried in a laptop wearing fabulous (albeit sometimes impractical) shoes.
