I’m Not Nuts….or am I?
Hi, I’m Maggie Lee….the “slightly neurotic hitwoman” in JB Lynn’s books.
I spend a lot of time wondering if I’m nuts. I used to think my life was crazy and you would too. My mom is a long-term resident of a mental health facility, my dad is a thief/con-man/convicted murderer/prison inmate, and I have three meddling aunts, who I’m sometimes convinced, their sole purpose for being on the planet is to drive me crazy.
So my life has been on the nuttier side, but I never thought I was losing my mind. That is until I sustained a head injury in the car accident that killed my sister Theresa and her husband and left my niece Katie in my care.
One of the side effects of cracking my skull is that I can now understand Godzilla (or, as he prefers to be called, God) Katie’s lizard and my adopted dog Doomsday. I have actual conversations with them. I’ve even taken God’s advice. I know how crazy that sounds.
Another side effect is that I’ve actually agreed to kill people for money (to pay for Katie’s medical bills). No sane person would do that, right?
Yet another is that I’ve started to believe in my friend Armani’s psychic predictions. When she pulls out her bag of Scrabble tiles, I know she’s about to tell me my future.
And lastly, as though things aren’t bad enough, I’ve kind of fallen in love with my Patrick Mulligan, a cop who moonlights as a paid assassin. I ought to have my head examined….

Besides being a writer, JB Lynn is a compulsive reader, a runner (of sorts), an enthusiastic cook (who doesn’t get the appeal of the Food Network), and someone who has an irresistible urge to eavesdrop at all times.
JB has a great love of her husband, dogs, coffee, purple ink, spiral notebooks, running gear, hot showers, and ’80s music. Given enough time, all of these things will eventually show up in her books.
