Our next game day recipe is sure to be a hit!

Pizza rolled up into bread. What’s not to love? We are going to break this down and make it super simple to make (and bring in the kids to help!)

This recipe is completely customizable. Just include your favorite pizza toppings like pepperoni, mushrooms, red onion, bell peppers, hamburger, or candian bacon. Or you can make them into your favorite specialty pizzas — BBQ Chicken, Taco, Ham and Pineapple.

Your imagination is your limit!

As always, from my kitchen to yours, enjoy!

Ingredients

  • Refrigerated pizza dough (1 can makes 2 rolls)

  • Pizza sauce (don’t have any? I’ll put a super simple recipe below)

  • Mozzarella/pizza blend/Italian blend – whatever you have!

  • Your favorite pizza toppings

Instructions

Step 1

  • On a very lightly floured surface, place your dough and roll thin. If you are using a square pizza crust from the can, roll out and then cut in half shortways.

Step 2

  • Spread a thin layer of sauce leaving 1/2 inch on the edges. Cover in cheese.

Step 3

  • Spread your favorite toppings.

Step 4

  • Roll up like cinnamon rolls and then tuck the edges under.

Step 5

  • Place on a lined baking sheet and brush with olive oil. Optional: In a separate bowl combine a pinch of salt, garlic powder and Italian seasoning. Sprinkle on top of the oiled loaves.

Step 6

  • Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 mins. Until golden brown.

Finishing

  • Let cool for 3 minutes, then cut and serve.

Don’t have any pizza sauce on hand? No worries! Here is a quick and simple pizza sauce recipe.

As with any time you are using dried herbs, make sure you rub the herb with your finger in the palm of your hand. This activates the flavor in the herbs and will give you a much better outcome.

Ingredients

  • 1 can tomato sauce

  • 1 tsp dried oregano

  • 1/2 tsp garlic and onion powder.

  • Pinch of sugar

  • Salt and pepper to taste.

Instructions

Step 1

  • Combine ingredients into a sauce pan and mix well.

Step 2

  • Let simmer for 20-30 minutes to develop flavor. Taste and adjust seasonings, as needed.

Step 3

  • Use to make your favorite pizza! Or as a dip for mozzerella sticks.
