I remember waking up to a phone call from my Daddy telling me there has been an attack, planes have been hijacked and are deliberately being crashed into the twin towers…. WHAT!!??!!?? My stomach still turns as I sit here remembering this. My brother was at the airport getting on a plane to go to Basic Training… He had already joined the army to serve our country. I remember it as if it was yesterday as I am sure most of you do too. I remember how all across the country the patriotism we displayed, the neighborly ways, the camaraderie, and the sadness we felt as one. My brother, my cousin, and family friends served several tours in Iraq. Some have given the ultimate sacrifice of their life, others the scars(some unseen) of war will remain with them the rest of their lives. We thank each and every service member that serves our country. We thank the families of the service men and women!! Fast forward almost 10 years later another phone call… My brother telling me Bin Laden is Dead!! We got him!! I know this is not justice for those who have lost their lives or have injuries(seen and unseen) from this war but FINALLY a victory that we have been waiting for, for so long ~ Osama Bin Laden is gone!!!!
Thank you again to ALL of our SERVICE MEN & WOMEN!!
I am so thankful that my family lives in the United States of America!!
