Meet Samantha at the beginning who moved to St. Louis with her boyfreind after she graduated college. The bastard cheats on her and she is left with only 2 friends , Micah and Holly, in a city she has only been in for a few months. But Samantha is a strong determined women. I adored Samantha in this book. She has been dealt some crappy things in her life, but she is a true survivor, not letting anything knock her down. She is determined to move on with her life. I love the fact that she is a strong independent gal.
We meet Slade as well, he is a man whore. He thinks this is how life should be a different girl all the time, no commitments. He is a cocky successful attorney. Then one night he receives a call and everything changes.
He tries anything to get Samantha out of his head and then one night he finally come face to face with the “Angel” he heard on the phone. The circumstances he meets her face to face are extremely amusing. Slade has to work harder than ever before to even have Samantha give him the time of day. Slade always has girls wanting him just with one look, but not Samantha. She intrigues him.
Don’t get me wrong, Slade is arrogant and an ass at time, but when he goes all in, he goes way in. He is ABSOLUTLEY AMAZING, you will fall in love with him. The chemistry between Samantha and Slade is great. One minute you are laughing and the next you are rooting for them. Not to mention the incredible off the chart steamy scenes. They are so undescribable HOT. “She might look like an angel, but my thoughts of her have been nothing short of sinful.”
The book takes us through the story of building their relationship, no major turmoil, no heavy angst, juts a love story on how boy hears girl. Boy cant get girl ouf his head and does everything in the book to make girl his. Girl of course would be out of her mind to not want boy, in this case the amazing Slade.
This book as absolutely everything you could want. A great story with 2 people who are not a whole and need each other to be complete. I loved everything about this book. There was not one thing I can think of I did not like. It is a definitely a TOP 5 read of the year for me. There is not a cliffhanger but there will be a second book in this series. Which is good, because I need more. I want more. I can’t wait until book 2 is released. I just need to decide who I want more of? Sam and Slade? Courtney & Josh or Micah & Holly? DECISIONS uugh?
