Blog Tour: Frontline by Alexandra Richland

by | Aug 10, 2013 | KUWTR

When nurse Sara Peters treats celebrity billionaire Trenton Merrick for
a mysterious injury to his forehead, she is blindsided by what follows:
A passionate exchange in the examination room, followed by an invitation
to Trenton’s mansion the next night.

Trenton spins a web of deceit and seduction around Sara that both
repels and attracts her. One part humanitarian, the other international
financial mogul, his professional and public life are a curious contradiction.
As Sara journeys deeper into her feelings for Trenton and
begins unraveling the mystery behind his injury, she finds herself
embroiled in a game of trust and betrayal, where the odds are stacked in
Trenton’s favor, and the outcome for the loser is too terrifying to conceive.

REVIEW by Monique

has impressed me with a WOW factor that I do not know how to start describing
the WONDERFUL romance novel I just read from author, Alexandra Richland. I
could not find myself putting the novel down for even a second; the novel
immediately captured my interest and became a real page-tuner with ROMANCE,

Who is
Trenton Arthur Merrick? Trent is a well-respected rich successful
businessperson who spews confidence as the CEO of Merrick Industries
Incorporated, but he is also very charitable man. Tall with a muscular build,
mussed hair, sea blue bedroom eyes, and has a sexy smirk of a smile, and so HOT
he is one of People magazine Most Beautiful

Sara Peters
is a nurse, which has left her family from San Francisco to begin her career in
New York City at the Manhattan General Hospital. She meets Trent on Memorial
Day weekend, when he walks in to the emergency room with a strange laceration
to his head. Because he is a highly respectable public figure, the hospital
immediately provided Trent with VIP treatment. Unfortunately, his VIP treatment
does not sit well with Sara and neither does his story of events on how he
obtains the strange laceration on his head. Trent is accustoming to getting
everything he wants, cannot hide his physical attraction towards Sara. Sara’s
body fails to listen to her mind telling her to run, thus enchanting her body in
every way to submit to his. Sara and Trent cannot help feel the natural chemistry
between them and set forth to uncover the possibilities, but Sara cannot feel as
she has fallen down a rabbit hole to only find her safe and boring life has
gone topsy-turvy.

Sara keeps
asking herself, who is Trenton Merrick?

Trenton is volatile, confident, and
controlling, but also respectful; a maze mystery more complex than the
labyrinth of corridors that compromise this vast estate. As much as I leaned
about him over dinner, he remains enigmatic. But the crazy thing is he called
Fascinating. “–

Sara and
Trent lives intertwine and are unable to deny their guarded hearts, but can
they trust each other whole-heartedly too? Will they find themselves in
juxtaposition in the frontline, finding solutions together?  On the other hand, will Trent and Sara stay
worlds apart because of the secrets unraveling before them?

Richland’s romance novel, FRONTLINE, is her first novel in the series and with
much relief does not end with huge cliffhanger. Alexandra will not have us to
waiting too long to find out more about the lives of all the characters in the
novel, because she is currently writing the second book in the series and
provides a prologue for the sequel.

I personally
have the answer to Sara’s question to ‘Who is Trenton Merrick?’ he is my NEW

first novel in the series, FRONTLINE, receives 5 AMAZING STARS!

“I meant it
when I said we need to cool our physical contact. We need to start fresh––a
proper courtship with boundaries that get removed gradually as we get to know
each other better. That’s the only way I’ll agree to see you again.”

I giggle.
“Okay, so it’s a little old-school. The bottom line is I’d like to get back to

“So you want
me to court you?” His blue eyes blaze.
I blush.
brushes his lips to my ear. “In that case, wait here.”
He darts out
of the room and returns a few moments later. My heart melts when I see what he
holds: one of the long-stemmed roses from the bouquet at the nurses’ station.
“This is my
proper and honorable good-bye, Sara. And please accept my sincerest apologies
for leaving so abruptly last night.” Trenton extends the rose to me.
With just
one look, he makes me feel as though I’m the center of his world.
I accept the

takes my other hand and bows his head to place a soft kiss on my knuckles––a
gesture far sweeter and meaningful than anything we’ve shared thus far. He
peers up at me with those bedroom eyes, his lips brushing my skin.
“I look
forward to courting you, Sara. Thank you for giving me another chance.”
His eyes
linger on mine for a few heart-stopping moments. Then he drops my hand, sweeps
past me, and exits the room.

just hope I didn’t make a mistake by trusting him again.
