REVIEW by Monique

Walker debuts her first romance novel, BREAK ME. BREAK ME is a story about
Tori McLeod moving away from
her mother to find her new beginning in the city to go to college, but her
scholarship money is not enough so she starts looking for a job. Tori routinely
stop in the neighborhood coffee shop to get her fill of caffeine and to check
the job listings, but in the last month, she has seen a dark eyes watching and
caressing her. She finds something about him that makes her feel comfortable
around him that she has never experienced with other men. His eyes were a
beautiful brown with long eyelashes, his hair was short and black, with
kissable lips, and he radiated sex with his large power dominating tattooed
body and his name is Sebastian Chelios.  Sebastian
was not like others men, because he had a dark demeanor and was a little scary,
but Tori found she was unable to control her attraction to him.

One day
while Tori were ordering her daily dosage of caffeine, she meets barista,
Keisha Lee and the two immediately become best of friends. Unfortunately, Keisha
was Tori’s first friend since moving to the city because Tori buried herself in
her studies. Keisha insisted Tori go with her to a new hot club for a girls’
night out in which the owner of the club is Keisha’s stepbrother, Brett McLean.
Brett was a good-looking man dressed with clothes hugging his fit physique, was
clean-shaven, with short brown hair, and did not have any tattoos on his
perfect skin.

Then Tori
meets Jose, a mutual acquaintance with Sebastian and Brett, but Jose was a
scary man that had black eyes, shaggy black hair, tattoos, and a presence of

meeting all three men that night, Tori’s life was never going to be the same
because she became the center of a love triangle. Even though all three men
desired her, only one who would capture her heart through all the turmoil she
was now experiencing because strangers were now following her, her privacy had
been taken from her, and her life was threatened. Every day she was uncovering
many dark secrets about the wanted and unwanted men in her life, but she would
not have changed anything because she had fallen in love hard and very fast. Below
is a snippet from the novel, when Tori is listening to the man she loves
confess how much he truly loves Tori.

“Before you, I was blind.

 Before you, I was deaf.

 Before you, I was mute.

 Before you, I was broken.

I was like shattered glass before you came
into my life.

You picked up the pieces and slowly put me
back together.

You’re my glue and you fixed me.

You are and will always be my happy, little one
and I and will always fucking love you.

P.S. Be patient, little one. I will come back
to you.”

Whom will
Tori fall in love with, will it be Sebastian, Brett, or Jose? Will there be
jealousy between the men? Will someone try relentlessly to have her? Will her
true love be able to protect her from all the secrets uncovering? BREAK ME is a
beautiful love story that will capture your attention immediately and will be
unable to put the book down. While reading, you will find yourself on an INTENSE
emotional roller coaster experiencing many emotions like being MAD, SAD, SCARED,
CRYING, LAUGHING, and FALLING IN LOVE. BREAK ME is Jo-Anna Walker’s first novel
in the Shattered series, so do not be disappointed when you discover the book
ends with huge cliffhanger. Jo-Anna will not have us to waiting too long to
find out what happens with Tori, because she is currently writing the second
