Aloha Friday… Traveling with Toddlers??

by | May 9, 2013 | Family Life

In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that they take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So on Fridays Kailani takes it easy on posting and just asks one question! So go link up and check out the other blogs that participate at An Island Life and ask your own question.

Our question this week is…
Do you have any tips for traveling with toddlers??
We have been lucky (so far) that Alex has been a great little traveler!! We always have things to entertain her!!

I had snacks and lots of fun activities to entertain them. I got a huge kick out of that too!

Bring a little travel kit (book, pencils, pens, markers, crayons or wipe off dry erase board book)
    A few munchies.
And break out your funniest voice and facial expressions. That was just for airplanes.

On car rides you can bring more.

We didn’t fly with Emily (only once). We did do several road trips. I always had a goodie basket full of fun stuff. They loved it.

My only tips are things you already know like snacks and the iPad. I’ve heard as they get older that kids really benefit from chewing gum at takeoff and landing but since mine can’t “chew” it without swallowing it in the first minute, I haven’t even started yet.

I take snacks, and of course, the good old DVD player!
