In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that they take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So on Fridays Kailani takes it easy on posting and just asks one question! So go link up and check out the other blogs that participate at An Island Life and ask your own question…
My question this week is…
This last week we had a major crisis with our local ASPCA which is near and dear to my heart because that is where we adopted Zoey and Jax. They are in need of donations, which made me wonder do you donate to charities, if so which ones?
I am very leary about donating to charities unless I really know the money is going there. I hate those calls where people are asking for money. I ALWAYS SAY NO!
I donate, but in a different way. The Viet Nam Veterans is the one that I contribute to whenever I can. Be it items from our home or cash when I can. We also contribute to our church every week.
I donate to the ASPCA and Jewish charities.
I actually donate to the Humane Society, too. I adopted both of my kitties from there. I also donate on our local shelter for women and children.
we have not donated lately, as we are tight no money…
although we have donated clothes and other items.
when money is better there are about 5 that we try to donate to on a regular basis
I do donate to medical associations.
We give small donations throughout the year to a few charities – March of Dimes, Easter Seals, and a wonderful local charity called Crusade for Children.
We give time, and things usually. Sometimes money, depending on what time of year it is-my hubbies work doesn’t always allow us to donate money.
We donate to local charities and also national charities when it’s possible. The local charities are taken directly out of our paychecks and that does not include tithing.
Aloha!
We usually donate via sponsoring our friends and family in a charity walk or run.
